Delta Oaks Group is seeking an individual to manage A&E services in the telecommunications and EV verticals.  Positional responsibilities, further detailed below, include but are not limited to the oversight of various technical evaluations, department staff, project management, quality control, client management, and department profit and loss. This position will require a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the A&E or Civil Engineering field, demonstrating practice in the telecommunications market.  Career experience associated with the management of the holistic “front-end” design process, including but not limited to site acquisition (planning and zoning), environmental, geotechnical, and civil-site design are desired. Additionally, experience with general electrical and grounding design typically associated with EV and telecommunication structures/buildings/small commercial applications is desired.

Positional Responsibilities
The Director – A&E coordinates and supervises the life cycle of all department projects from inception through completion, including all aspects of design, project management, and client management. This position will oversee a team of design engineers and/or CAD designers and will be asked to assist in department growth through hiring/talent acquisition. This position is further responsible for coordinating with management to develop technical and operational approaches for the efficient completion of project and department tasks (including CAD standards and templates), implementing these procedures, and ensuring all associated project and department production goals (schedule and quality) are realized.

Acting independently with little supervision, the selected individual will be expected to apply strong analytical, design, program management, and client collaboration skills to complete turn-key services focused primarily in the telecommunications market. Anticipated tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Project Scoping / Fee Estimation / Proposal Preparation
  • Management / Coordination of all phases of turnkey A&E projects
  • Design and/or Review of telecommunication A&E related services including rawland, amendment, and collocation telecommunication sites

  • QA/QC of Final Deliverables - evaluate and review A&E designs for constructability, feasibility, accuracy and cost efficiency
  • Project and Program Management
  • Personnel Management and Oversight
  • Staffing Evaluation / Hiring
  • Client Interaction / Coordination / Management

The selected individual will be expected to have a thorough understanding of turnkey A&E/Civil Engineering services, including technical, managerial, and support service aspects of successful product delivery. Due to the nature and limited timelines of most projects, the selected candidate should be willing and capable of exhibiting the work ethic and social ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment where timely communication with co-workers, clients and strategic partners is paramount.

Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Experience with computer drafting software (AutoCAD) is required

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of basic electrical and grounding principles is required
  • Experience with grading, earthwork, stormwater, and erosion control practices is desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with contractors, clients or their representatives, jurisdictional officials and other engineering vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client and strategic partner relationships

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
